Skate hall Merzig-Wadern
The Merzig-Wadern skate hall has been located in the former "Zweygart" hardware shop at Gipsberg 10 in Merzig since October 2020. It is the first and only skate hall in Saarland and one of the only ones in the state that can also be used by wheelchair users.
Six days a week, the skate hall offers a total of 800 square metres of skateboarding opportunities on mini ramp areas, quarters, benches, kickers, curbs, fun boxes and manual pads - as well as a wide range of skateboarding courses and extensive youth work activities.
The wide range of offers makes the skate hall in the Merzig-Wadern district a special kind of community meeting place. Children and young people are taught values such as fair play and cohesion and are encouraged to play an active role in shaping their own lives. Respect, consideration, attentiveness and communication are also a big part of the skate scene - all of these principles are also practised and taught in the skate hall.
The Skatehalle Merzig-Wadern aims to strengthen and promote skateboarding and similar sports as well as the associated cultures in the Merzig-Wadern district.
Birthdays in the Merzig-Wadern skate hall
Children's birthdays can also be celebrated in the Merzig-Wadern district skate hall. The skate hall is rented out on certain days. The children can improve their skate moves together and try out new things. If required, instructors are on hand to help the children skate and provide advice and support if they have any questions.
Up to six skateboards are available for hire, as well as pads and helmets.
